Community Standards
The short version
- Strech has zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive users.
- Report anything that breaks these standards from inside the app, and block anyone you no longer want to hear from.
- We review every report within 24 hours, remove objectionable content, and remove people who violate these standards from Strech.
01 Who these standards apply to
These standards apply to everyone who uses Strech: members who book work, Pros who accept it, and anyone who contacts us. They cover everything you send or show through Strech, including chat messages, photos, job requests, reviews, and Pro business names and profiles, and how you treat people at a visit. They form part of the Terms of Service and of the Strech Pro contractor agreement.
02 Zero tolerance
Strech does not tolerate objectionable content or abusive behavior. You must not post, send, or upload:
- Harassment or bullying, including insults, intimidation, and repeated unwanted contact.
- Hate speech, or content that attacks or demeans people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic.
- Threats of violence, or content that encourages violence or self-harm.
- Sexual or sexually suggestive content, or sexual advances toward anyone you meet through Strech.
- Spam, scams, phishing, requests to pay outside Strech, and other fraud.
- Anyone else's personal information, such as a phone number, home address, financial details, or photos of them, shared without their permission.
- Content that impersonates someone else or misrepresents who you are or your qualifications.
- Illegal content, or content that promotes illegal activity.
The same standards apply in person. Abusive, threatening, or sexual behavior at a visit or toward a member's household is a violation, and may also be reported to the authorities.
03 How to report content or a person
You can report a chat message, a chat photo, a job request, a review, or a person from inside the Strech and Strech Pro apps: press and hold the message or photo, or open the job's menu, choose Report, and pick a reason. You can add details if you want. You can also email support@strech.ai.
If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911 first.
04 How to block someone
From the same menus, choose Block. A member can block the Pro on any of their jobs, and a Pro can block the member on any job assigned to them. Blocking stops messages between you and stops Strech from matching you with that person again. You can see and undo your blocks in Account in the Strech app, or Profile in Strech Pro.
05 What we do with reports
- Every report reaches our team, and we review every report within 24 hours. Reports of threats are handled first.
- Our filters screen messages, reviews, and job requests for threatening, harassing, and profane language. Content they catch can be held or hidden until our team reviews it.
- When content breaks these standards, we remove it.
- People who break these standards are warned, suspended, or permanently removed from Strech, depending on what happened. Threats, sexual misconduct, and anything that puts someone's safety at risk lead to immediate removal.
- We keep a record of each report and our decision. We don't tell the person you reported who reported them.
06 Questions and appeals
